"Shuttin Detroit Down"

The song that I am doing my think essay on is " Shuttin Detroit Down". One reason is because I like this song. Second because it is the truth. And last is because of the meaning.
First things first I like this song because it is of the country genre of music. That is all I listen to, no rap, no hip hop, and no rock. Next, I also like this song because, I like a lot of the authors songs. Such as, Shuttin Detroit Down, Country Done Come to Town, and Everybody Wants to be Me. And last because we all can understand what he is saying. Unlike in rap where you have to guess what they are saying.
One way that it is the truth is they really are shutting down Detroit. There are a lot of factorys in that area that have been shut down. It says in the song that "D.C.'s bailin out them bankers as the farmers auction ground". The banks that have gave out to many loans, are getting government aid but farmers can not. And last it says "Everyones the same". And in America everyone is the same no matter thier race or thier sex.
The meaning of this song is great. It talks about how porly of a condition our economy is in. In the song it says that D.C. is bailin out bankers. If that is not a sign of a poor economy I do not know what is.
Next it is all true. There is nothing made up in this song. And last The meaning is very easily to understand. All you have to do is listen to the lyrics.
That is just some of the reasons why I chose this song. Because I like it, the song is all truthful, and last because of the meaning.

What Happens To Paper

What happens to paper.
Does it burn
like gas on a fire?
Or fly away like a bird-
And land for another persons use?
Does it go in a land fill
Or land in a creek to be carried to the ocean?
Like a bottle in a river.
Maybe it just sits in your living room
Like a newspaper from a month ago?
Or does it get carried by the wind and keeps on ascending into the air?

Life

Live which we all got.
In America and everywhere else.
Freedom which was bought.
Everyone thinks that it is false.

Freedom

People are fighting over in Iraq.
Some of them will never make it back.
Obama says that he will pull them out.
But we all have our doubt.
When are they going to come back.

Gun Control

Guns. Are they good or bad? Here are three objects that gun control contribute too. First hunger, second our Freedom, and last is life in general. Where do you stand on the issue?
Hunger. Everyone has felt it at one point or another. Guns help feed those less fortunate. In states like Alaska, if you hit a moose or deer you call the police and they will get somebody from a food bank to come and get the meat. The second way is all the animals we kill we eat. Such as deer, one of my favorite wild game meats. And last over half of the meat found in restaurants is harvested with a gun. Even beef is harvested with a gun.
Freedom. Everyone in America has it. We did not gain it by using clubs in the Revolutionary War. I we would have we would have been slaughtered. Second, if we did not use guns in the war with Iraq, we would be devastated. And last, police protect our Freedom. And guess what. They use guns every day to do so. If they did not they would be easily over powered.
Life. Almost everyone knows of someone who has died from a gun shot fatality. But lives are saved everyday . The other day on the news I heard of a guy who some people told him they were going to kill him, he just showed them, and they took of running. The second way is if you are in the outdoors and a bear comes running up to you what are you going to do. Throw sticks at him or shoot him with a gun. And last is at 3:00 a.m. and you hear a loud crash, what do you want to grab, the broom or the 12 ga. Yeah the shotgun. That could save your life.
So what is your stand point on the issue now. Are they good or bad? I think that they are great. They help provide food, they help to maintain our freedom, and last they save lives. And to take my guns the government will have to pry them from my dead cold hands.
